Same series Dermot Reeve's mum ended up the ecb official scorer after the official scorer had a heart attack and had to return home?
Tufnnel wasn't picked for a game or two because he kicked the England cap to fine leg and hid in the closet something like that. English cricketers dressed in whites and working out in the gym smoking a durry

Indeed it was. Impressive recall mate, I had to look that one up.
I was in UK around then as an OE. Remember a lot of details like yesterday. Gower was dropped and MCC called in a meeting to discuss if selections were fair. Gower ended up as a commentator for the same series

There used to be video series called cover point if I remember correctly on vhs. I used to buy them and carried back home. I must still have heaps of those. Covered the tour extensively on cover point.

It was an awful tour. One lasting memory is thinking at the time that no worse wicket keeper than Richard Blakey would ever play for England. Little did we know.
England were properly ambushed. Wish they’d selected Gower (never got to watch him except for old footage).

The Bangalore ODI was the first ever game I saw live. Remember Srinath (jettisoned for the tests because of India’s three spinner policy) and Paul Jarvis both getting impressive 5 wicket hauls and being left out by their respective teams soon after.

Never seen Jamieson struggle to control that inswinger (to RH) like this. Was bowling it almost as his stock ball at home some of last season, but of course the Kookaburra doesn't move like this.

Yeah, even on the last tour it took Southee and Boult a while to properly control the Dukes. Hopefully KJ has it figured out by the next test. Boult needs to play at Edgbaston for sure if he's going to play in the final.

The ball going to fine fine leg clearly says the ball is missing the stumps. No umpire gives that out. 101 of umpiring
