Brilliant win that. It was a pretty flat deck which we did not want. The groundsmen were instructed to prepare one with more moisture in it but seems like the hot weather made that difficult to do. We started alright but collapsed from 75/1 to 78/4 with Sajith, Raun and Zack all dismissed. I gave up watching lol, was certain we were about to get bowled out cheap on a flat deck and lose big. But the guys had other plans. Shabaz Furqan (98) and Hashim Zahid (40) bailed us out with a 100-run partnership, after which skipper Arif Jalal went beserk (55 off 29) to lift us to 252. A barely par score. Useful hand played by Danial Ahsan too at the end, who's really only playing to get more experience and IGT.

Bikswing Nouding was excellent with the new ball, as always, and Hashim Zahid then bowled really well to take the first 2 wickets to fall. We kept it pretty tight after that, and every time a partnership threatened someone stepped up and got a wicket. Hashim finished with 3/20 in 7 overs, phenomenal day for him, and Luke Giddings picked up a key middle-over wicket before bundling out the tail to finish with 5/46. Good 10 overs from Bikswing, a cheeky wicket for Zack Yattack, and we even managed to slip Danial Ahan in for 2 quiet overs for that sweet sweet IGT. Perfect day.

We're now 4th in the points table - tied with 5th on points but ahead on NRR. The key thing is we are now 10 points clear of relegation zone. 6th place has 19 and an inferior NRR. One step closer towards securing our spot in Div 2 for next season.

FHK about to start their relegation battle as well now. Staying in Div 2 would be a massive accomplishment for that side.

excuse me for very basic questions but how do you follow/watch a game on the site?

When the game is live, it'll give a cricinfo like update - for 4-5 hours in OD and about 2 hours in T20, so they're a little bit quicker than rL but not that much. Your matches are at like 5am stumped server time so about 10hrs before this post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday

North Stars are fairly strong I think. Name seems familiar and they've got two big internationals.

61k is a pretty brutal rating to play in a D3 match!

The Schmaltzberg affiliate put up 307/8 playing against an actual human  Ivor Buckland, old Morpork hero, still hanging in there with a gritty 70.

It's a pretty flat track but they probably have the chance to defend that and stay third in the league

Lee Homer standing up like a rock here. He’s 30 not out of 51 for 7.

The only batsman for Mooo with double figures.
Three Mooo batsmen have made ducks so far.

Eventually got rolled over for 72. A big loss this, will take be back a few notches down on NRR.

Lee Homer with 37 out of the 72
4 batsmen making ducks.
McCormack’s death bowling at the end.

Good signs against a team crazily good.

A good drubbing that.

also glad to hear McCormack is mooing up well, always seemed like he had talent even if the Dynamo machine wasn't quite the place for him

My SOD game was a bot bash but there was a big highlight in a 194-run 3rd wicket partnership between Nicky Clift and Kurt Murdoch. Murdoch became the first AXI player to score 500 competitive runs, and Clift maraudered 131 (99), AXI's highest score and 5th century, to take him to the lead of my competitive run-scoring chart. When Murdoch got out for 68 (92), it put end to a sequence of 215 runs without dismissal in all matches. Afzal Mohiuddin took 4-21 to secure a 183-run victory.

Singups for CWC Season 3 are now open!

Signups for the 3rd season of the CricketWeb Championships are now open! Teams have until 21st June to signup, with the first game scheduled to start on 3rd July. Please click the link above to sign up.

Keeping in line with playing a different format in each competition, this season's CWC will be the Dev format. Teams will play each other twice - home and away - with all games scheduled for Saturday 12:00 in game time. This is to avoid overlap with the later stages of the ongoing CWC Season 2, whose games are played on Saturday 00:00 in game time.

The recent influx of new teams means that Season 3 could potentially be the largest CWC yet, and the Dev format opens up the potential for the newer sides to get one over the more established clubs! CWC Season 3 is shaping up to be the most entertaining CWC we've had yet!

Had a T20 vs Moooo. On a tough pitch my seamers proved quite the handful as the home batsmen were often seen falling to rash strokes. Liam Kotze in particular took 4-20. Tauseef Nazar's run-a-ball 20 from #7 was the stand-out innings. 78 all out was never going to be a suficient total, and despite Gulsan Giridhar's 3-6, my batsmen scampered home with 65 balls and 7 wickets to spare. Ghous Saadi made 43 (29). Will send an invitation to play GG CC.

Signed up for the CWC, definitely looking forward to it. I've got quite a few Dev matches coming up over the next few days as mini-preparation. :)

Wow FHK got murdered in the CWC clash

Little to report on from the Dynamo matches, young leg spinner Sammy Payne had fun spinning out the Hunks (even got Kutikkad for a two-ball duck)
