Stumped!

Big win for ZCC, we continue to cling to 5th place. 4 more weeks to go, hope we can keep on winning and ensure we stay in Div 2 for another season.

FHK should have a comfortable bot bash. Are on track for promotion into Div 2.

Squad cut to 18 players with an additional 3 more gone by end of week... Lots of this is that I keep getting tempted to play players with slightly better current stats than play players that will give the club a future, so i`m selling them on/removing players to remove temptation. The game today was horrendous but having a wk behind the stumps with a 0 keeping skill amongst other things is gonna do that... just need to get past the tough times and grit my teeth!

Got a Fr. OD vs WCC on, managed just 155ao in my innings (Aylmer 56) but have kept Winton's RR down and grabbed a wicket in the first few overs. Should be interesting.

Looks like being a tight chase if your bowlers keep things tight. Hyde yet to bowl as well.

Determined to make Yosuke Glenn opening work eventually. Batted at 6 aggression today but only attacked 1 of his 20 balls a bit odd but perhaps low score to chase influenced things.

As happens a lot of the time, it depends on how my twin spin attack fares. Juan Goliath - half of the duo - grabbed a wicket in his first over, so good signs for me. Ludlow bowling 3 successive maidens I love.

5 leaves, 11 blocks, ,2 pushes off his first 3 overs - certainly our batsman treating him with lots of respect! Dickens hopefully here for the long haul for me not attacked any of his 68 balls so far! Fear that fatigue can always start to kick in though. Hyde keeping it tight for you early on and of course Goliath with that wicket.

And now as I say that he's out - 33 off 72 - not often I'd say this but it almost feels like a half-decent knock.

FHK paying a visit to @StephenZA's Orangutans today. A young-ish side, but still good enough to rate 44K. We elected to bowl first, and TMO batted well to score 195 in 45 overs. A decent batting track, perhaps could have scored more, but no one really got a start apart from Jacques Katz (59 off 53), Alonso Kock (48 off 73) and Gayan Ekanayake (46 off 70). There were 5 ducks overall, with Zach Burger chipping in a useful 22 as well. Young speedster Joshua Wong was the pick of FHK's bowlers, taking 4/36 and clocking a max speed of 151.6 kmph.

In reply Agnes Chow (26 off 49) and Ivan Lam (38 off 77) got us off to a solid start, putting on a 76 run opening partnership. But since then we've wobbled, and at 115/4 the game is delicately poised. Skipper and BD international Tin Yau is still out there on 25*, but he's going to need the lower/middle order to get stuck in and provide some support if we're going to pull off this chase.

Meanwhile the ZCC young'uns are visiting @Marcuss's Astronauts for a 50 over friendly as well. Much closer game ratings wise - 35K for AA vs 39K for ZCC. We elected to bowl first, and have been tight but lacking penetration - they are currently 123/2 in 30 overs. Opener Murray Crichton grinding away with 66* off 106 balls. Not the easiest surface to play on, has a fair bit of wear. 240 could be a winning score.

WCC win thanks to a 80-run 5th-wicket partnership between Liam Evans and Nauman Sheikh. Very interesting game, with my seamers going for very little runs and the twin spin attack getting punished comparatively.

I've got my first match vs TMO, a T20, coming up in an hour and a half. Looking forward to it.

Also just noticed that Moooo hosted Dynamo Schmaltzberg for a DEV friendly. Shanuka Kurusumuttu (60 off 59) and Cornelis Steenkamp (46* off 30) were the highlights for DyS as they trotted to a 61-run win. A few strong points for Moooo, notably 15yo Lucas Donegan with 2-30.

Andy Li adds 6 runs to a 37-run partnership with Tin Yau, who has motored on to 58* off 52. Tiffany Yuen out there in the middle with another 29 needed for victory. Should wrap this up.

Ashgrove have lost Crichton for 68 but are on track for a big score. 198/3 with 11 overs to go.

Yuen gets dropped a few times and finds the fence twice, FHK wrap up a comfortable 5 wicket in. Tin Yau 67*, highest score of the game. Joshua Wong POTM.

Gary Cricket (74 off 63) and Daniel Bennet (47 off 39) set the tone for a strong finish by Ashgrove Astronauts. 297/8 in their 50 overs. Will take something remarkable to chase this down. We dropped 3 catches, including Cricket twice. Proved costly.

The Astronauts skipper Peach drops a dolly from former-Dynamo Grobbelaar in the 1st over! Bit of luck for ZCC, hope Maurits cashes in

Feel free to write a wrap up of the last round of the CWC! I've been putting that off for a while.

A busy morning for the TMO's... another loss but happy with some of the improved performances against the HK.

And in the T20 against ataraXIa Farhat showing his potential again.

ZCC young'uns got absolutely thumped. 178 run loss despite the ratings advantage. Real learning moment for them. Good win for the Astronauts tho! Lots of positives for them to take out of the game.
