Love how the failure of management apropos Kuldeep Yadav is being depicted as him not being very good to begin with. Agreed that it's not viable to retain him anymore, his bowling is shot to pieces, but the reason why many were excited about him in the first place was his ability to land legspin reasonably well, not to mention the googly which he's more or less lost complete confidence in. The last year and a half he's been averaging two longhops per over which was patently not the case before. To add to his woes he has Kohli and that fat bastard Rohit constantly in his face, showing their frustration every time he bowls a bad ball.

That was supposed to be a joke, but after last game who knows? We could lose from here.

Buttler's had a horror game tbh.

It happens when batsmen work out your good balls and dont get out to those and then slowly start lining up your flighted balls for 6s. A bowler has only one more thing to fall back on, which is to drag the length back and for a legspinner, accuracy is always an issue.

I feel its silly to blame management when a bowler is found out and has no answers after that. Chahal is going the same way, unfortunately. Good thing is, he has more variations up his sleeve at least for T20s and can still do a job there.

EDIT: Oops, just realized both of us posted in the wrong thread. Requesting mods to move the two posts to the India-England thread please.

I think we're both posting in the wrong thread lol

At least this time whoever comes to the crease shouldn't feel under pressure to go at a run a ball or more right from the start

But this team might randomly try anyway

England are doing India a favor here by showing them that these spinners suck as frontline bowling options. Either play with more bowling options if you need them in the side, or play better spinners. Its not like we lack good spin bowling options who can bat either. Sundar and Axar are more than handy for these formats and Chahar is at least new and has not been found out yet.

Maybe the old adage of class being permanent is true and we should just play Ash-Jaddu, as @ankitj has been pointing out. :)
Beats me how we're forever scrounging around for white-ball spinners all the while we have someone as versatile as Ashwin out of contention. There isn't a spinner in the world as suited to pyjama cricket as he is but he's kept out why again?

Coz the CT final loss was his fault.. Never mind the 3 wickets to Amir. :p

Seems a bit ridiculous to keep bowling the spinners when Hardik is a 6th bowler option. Krunal’s figures 0-72 off 6 lol. Would give England confidence if these two take the side home. Good cameo from livingstone so far . Great knocks from Bairstow and Stokes. Bairstow has incredible odi stats arguably the best opener in odi history

Lol WTF . Best Opener in ODI history ?

For some reason they are playing Hardik as a specialist batsman here, which begs the question, why not play another allrounder?

He got belted but good lord the trash he bowled to keep a lid on things...and failed miserably at that too. Pathetic to see a professional cricketer give up all hope like that. Wish he punched himself in the head as hard he is wont to while batting.

Great batting, but two pretty poor bowling attacks (with the likes of Bumrah, Archer, and Woakes missing). NZ and Australia's ODI bowling is much better.
