I don't understand some of these shots, we haven't had to force the pace at all. Billings and Curran's wickets are so criminal.

Krunal's still a hack IMO, just following the trend of debutants doing well for India

Didn't actually see him bat tho, so for all I know he might have legit turned a corner recently
Lol what? He isn't a superstar, but anyone who has watched the Mumbai Indians over the last few years knows he's talented and does well in pressure situations. Looks like a cricketer Kohli would really like too

I mean he clearly has character, came back from an absolute shellacking brilliantly there.

Not picking Malan to replace Root was silly from England. Might not have effected the result we’ll never known that but at least pick the right team. When Bairstow got out I had a feeling England would completely collapse

yea this is where you lose me

I mean he's okay as a T20 franchise hitter who bowls some filth whenever I've seen him, but he lacks the class Hardik has where you just know he can make the step up to the next level.

He's been in good form in domestix lately, so perhaps he's raised his game to a new level. Or he's just in a purple patch scoring runs in meaningless whiteball affairs. We'll see in due course.

Obv good for India if he's a legit ODI standard finisher who bowls some filth, so hope he proves me wrong.

Fair enough, we all have different takes on players.

I feel he can succeed at this level as the difference between ODI/T20 is negligible in the modern era imo. If he bats 7 then he'll mostly be required for cameos (like T20) unless the top order collapses

He bowls darts (not filth) but there's some subtlety there. Bowls at a good pace too
