You can't do anything about cliques naturally forming, but at times it does seem to escalate from "this established group and this person don't get along" to "this established group is attempting to goad this person they don't like into leaving or getting banned", which I think is totally unacceptable. The more it 'works' the more the scope of who is worthy of this treatment seems to grow, as well, from people who argue in bad faith and spoil the forum atmosphere to people who just have the wrong opinions.

I haven't followed the specifics of this incident enough to say whether that's happened here or not due to my hospitalisation - I'll try to catch up properly tomorrow - but I do think it's been a problem in the past.

stephen should have spent 2 more minutes writing the rules clearly. This is terrible choice of words for what he wanted it to mean. Should have simply said "If you want to pick Bradman, Mahmudullah must be your 9th pick." He didn't even need so many words.

Lara and Laker both gone - I would have picked one of them in place of Mahmadullah if the rules were written in correct language. Please count me out and enjoy the draft if I'm not allowed Bradman (or not allowed to change my Mahmadullah pick for Lara or Laker).

Yeah I'm pretty sure this entire mess is a result of what happened in that mafia game that ended up with weldone being banned from that subforum for a second time rather than n+p. I'd rather hoped it wasn't actually that petty but there's no evidence to indicate otherwise, and this whole "what about the forum bullies" narrative does strike me as more than a little selective and dishonest as a result given that weldone was unquestionably being the disruptive bully in that whole mess. I can't think of any other reason he'd go after Uppercut otherwise but it does rather put the lie to the whole oh woe is me thing especially given that weldone was the one to create this entire mess in the first place; as far as I'm concerned the injection of politics related posting into this argument is a total distraction.

Nevertheless if @jimmy101 or whoever else wants to leave because they feel unwelcome then that's their prerogative. Really hope they weren't responsible for sending that PM though, yeesh.
