Letting someone express Hindu nationalism on the forum would be much more unwelcoming. Most of us find it incredibly unpleasant but for some people it's a personal attack.

Ethno-nationalists should be treated like spambots imo. If regulars don't have time to pile on then threads won't get ugly and newcomers won't get the impression that they're one bad opinion away from an attack.

Think he might be a bit young and I think he might have bought into the bs of having everyone have a voice even if they are putrid af with their takes.

I at least ****ing hope so because if not it looks like he only takes offense when nazis get banned.

Any community with longevity like this one will naturally have cliques and at times seem a little insular. But this is also an incredibly supportive community. There's always things we can improve and maybe there should be constructive discussions around that, but I don't think it's fair to say it's intolerant.

You can't do anything about cliques naturally forming, but at times it does seem to escalate from "this established group and this person don't get along" to "this established group is attempting to goad this person they don't like into leaving or getting banned", which I think is totally unacceptable. The more it 'works' the more the scope of who is worthy of this treatment seems to grow, as well, from people who argue in bad faith and spoil the forum atmosphere to people who just have the wrong opinions.

I haven't followed the specifics of this incident enough to say whether that's happened here or not due to my hospitalisation - I'll try to catch up properly tomorrow - but I do think it's been a problem in the past.

Just wanted to let you know that I agree with everything you've been saying recently. It's been pretty uncomfortable watching all of these crucifixions taking place over the past few weeks and I'm glad you've been speaking up against it

I found it massively hilarious that you pointed out the fanboyism that exists on the forum and then after everyone took turns at denying it, none of them could resist the impulse to suck up Uppercut & signal the fact that they've been reading his book. Especially Spark, a mod who should know better, who seemed desperate to be acknowledged for reading the book.

Also, after you pointed out the back "back scratching" nature of the clique it was so funny to watch Shady Slim oblige in spades by chiming in with his dumb little memes like the good little bootlicker that he is

And then you have that bogan moron flem spouting his typically racist ****, trying to farm likes from his crew who all cliam to be socially-aware leftists.Whilst RTB continues to yap away like an annoying little chihuahua. It's all so funny. Good on you for standing up them.

I too am considering leaving the forum because this place will obviously never change as the same old posters are embedded too deeply. It's supposed to be a cricket forum but it's honestly anything but. I post on several other forums, but nothing comes even remotely close to the rancid culture on here.
