Technology is only good for preventing howlers. These close calls are still always going to be touch and go. Ball-tracking has been off on various occasions. Same with snicko, sometimes it is just inaccurate. Not sure about this one though, not watching it live.

This is mostly miles off the mark. The ways that ball tracking can fail are well known and none of them apply to that dismissal.

separate stats is silly, but pitches/outfields for Day-Night games should definitely be better selected. Will improve with time. The Pink Ball is still a WIP too, and generally as players get used to it the standard of the games will improve.

@karan_fromthestands and @silentstriker day-night tests are not ICC screwing around. Its a legitimately good idea that will add to the viewership and make test cricket a bit more viable. But it is on the individual countries to figure out how best to conduct them, what grounds-pitches etc. And it is a learning process for everyone involved, including the curators. I am sure the next time we play a day-night test in this ground, the pitch will be better prepared. Everyone is working off unknowns there. We have not had a day-night test on a turner before.
