Erm what? Starc, Cummins, Meredith, Tye, Stanlake and Pattinson when they’re fit plus probably a few others that I’ve forgotten.

And for NZ the only guys who are consistently 140+ are still Ferguson and Milne. Kuggs is usually 137-144. Sears recorded similar numbers in the SS final.
Indeed.

Speed is overrated anyway. Being able to bowl fast doesn't make you a good bowler. Bowling fast is icing. Control, movement, variations and accuracy is cake. Cake on it's own is delicious. Icing on it's own lacks substance, but for some reason NZ fans are like six year old sugar fiends who love to get jacked up on it and run around screaming.

Issue is I don't see how were going to get the Conway wicket, bloke has made 60+ in 5 consecutive T20 innings without being dismissed at all.
He's quite immovable at the crease and a very smart guy. Hits only when required and picks the bowlers he wants to go after if required. Despite that usually our domestic cricketers have bowled either at his ribs or use spinners. Really strange he doesn't have a backfoot flick. I guess that is the only shot he doesn't have.

I meant in Aussie second xi or say Aus A side. Starc, Cummins, Pattinson are all first choice you'd assume.

Our first choice attack is Cummins, Starc, Haze for tests and ODIs at least. No one has clue what it is for T20s though.

As for 5-6 140 bowlers in NZ, no. And that's not even counting quality. Don't try to tell me Tickner's that fast or good until he stops bowling 130s piss.

Don't know how quick Liam Guthrie and Matthew Perry are.
I think Perry was low 130s in the single BBL game he played. But it's a silly argument anyway. Technically we can claim Aaron Summers, but he's fringe state second XI at best.

Meredith, tye, stanlake, Lance Morris. There's plenty who function in that 140+ bracket.

I'm hesitant declaring a more marginal bowler pace wise like Tye in that bracket because there's a suspicion that the BBL speed guns are a quite generous, but Morris is certainly quick. Goes into the fast but crap category though. W Agar is another one who's pretty sharp.

Interestingly Stanlake was bowling significantly slower this year than he has before, more high 130s.

Not all of them international quality nope.

I guess 140 is a bit high mark but the ones I think in NZ that bowl heavy balls or generally over 135 k would be (Outside of first choice Boult, Southee, Jamieson and Lockie)

Hamish Bennett - A quality bowler for all formats but has had so many injuries he's barely played much for black caps. Definitely closer to 140 when he wants to be, mostly like 135+
Tickener - Definitely 135+ and can push 140 at most. Bit up and down.
Kuggs - Definitely 140+ Up and down and can be quite expensive. Still a reasonably good option for white ball.
Milne - Same as Bennett as above.
Duffy - Batters say he's not all that slow. I'd guess about 135 generally.
Ben Sears - Very young but probably the fastest behind Lockie in the country. Was pushing 145 ticks into a gusty wind at basin reserve recently Definitely one that probably can touch 150. Again injury prone. If he plays a game he needs to be rested for two.
Matt Fishcher - Same as Sears above. A newbie as well and quite some distance away from black caps

I think most are in the 6' 2" to 6' 4" bracket barring maybe Milne who I think is more like 6' 1"

That's like 7 fringe bowlers with only one bowler still far from making the NZ A team. Rest have been regulars for NZ A and 5 of them have played for black caps.

If we cut the bench mark to 135+ plenty of non first choice Aussies qualify. If we ignore first choice guys and ones already mentioned in 140+ (tye, Meredith, stanlake, Morris) Cam green, Xavier Barlett, Zak Evans, Jackson bird and mark stekekke from the top of my head have been operating at 135+ in recent seasons and have clicked 140+ plenty of times.

What a weird schedule.

Monday night, Thursday afternoon, HUUUUGe gap, Wednesday night, Friday night, Sunday twilight.

What is the reason for avoiding this coming weekend entirely? Stadium clashes with start of Super Rugby? Yeah, Hurricanes home game this weekend at the Caketin. But not a Blues clash at Eden Park if they wanted a weekend game. Or Bay Oval etc which gets next Sunday twilight.

Well the weekend is only empty if you're a chauvinistic 40+ white male, of course.

I think you'll find the schedule assists a fairly dowdy, graceless and uncompelling White Ferns outfit to get their whole T20I series played in front of the quite large 'rugby and league are more my thing, unless we're playing Oz...' crowds.

There seem to be no stylish Laura Wolvaardts in the pipeline to bail out the White Ferns btw, unless we can get a state-funded The Bachelorette TV series and then NZ citizenship going for Wolvaardt herself.

This is peak Kippax - I feel like the first bit is personally affronting and I can't understand the rest of it. Unfortunate given I also want to know why there's no men's games on this weekend (and whilst I'm far from a chauvinist, I don't enjoy women's cricket and I sometimes prefer watching sport to hanging out with my better half.

Why would you schedule a T20 on a week-day during regular work hours
As others have said, the schedule is bizarre.

Scheduling surely is off... playing at Uni on a Thursday, a T20I and it's a day game starting at 2 p.m. How much worse can it be? You'd think they would schedule at 7ish on a weekday or if you'd want to play during the day play on the weekend. This is as dumb as they come.

It's perfect for me. 6pm on a Wednesday. The wife has the ribeye's on, I have a glass of Château de Beaucastel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2010, I'm all set. :thumbup1:
