I don't think Nadeem is a bad bowler but this has been a really pathetic performance from him.

The only reason he played could well be that the management saw Kuldeep was not in good rhythm in the nets through Australia but Nadeem only had 3 days with the team and was drafted in at the last minute anyways.

NOt for the first test. They changed the covid restrictions only on Jan 31, and to be effective from Feb 1. It was way too late for TNCA to set up everything to manage spectators. So they decided they will have spectators from the second test.

I think you're right, but Pope had already taken several runs off that over and him staying with Buttler was always our best bet to reach 400 quickly. It's not Bess's fault, he's a different sort of player, but 4 runs of 18 balls isn't helping much. And it puts more pressure on Buttler to try and go ballistic.
