Which Aust player likes to go on field with a toasted sanga in his pocket?

Btw, as per one of his interviews, the thread title needs to be edited because Marnus didn't even take the field with the damn sandwich

langer might be insane.

He is a "Hard but Fair" coach.

Turn on sandwich press or jaffle maker. Get 2 bits of white bread. Butter both sides. Sandwich ham, cheese and tomato between bread. Lift top bit of bread again to add the salt and pepper you forgot and replace it on the SANGA. Add salt to the outer sides of the already bilaterally buttered bread (this step is crucial imo). You can't really have too much salt. Put sanga into the sandwich press or jaffle iron. Let it cook til it's golden and the maillard reaction has taken full effect.

Remove from cooking device and burn your mouth multiple times on molten cheese. So good.
There is an Indian variant where you replace ham with boiled mash potatoes mixed with spices, it's a street food in few cities.

I honestly get the feeling Starc is now mentally messed up by all the stuff from the media, esp. the ex-players. Not just Warne with his sledging, but so many with their "he has to be aggressive, has to go after the batsmen etc." From all accounts, he was one of the nicest guys playing cricket in Australia even around 2014 or so, and forcing a guy like that to be someone else and I guess now in trying to go to the other extreme, he is right now nowhere mentally. I dunno if that plays into how his bowling suddenly seems to go missing etc. Even now I heard Mitch Johnson go "he has to be more angry and bowl faster" nonsense. I think what he needs is a bit of peace really and some quiet time where he can rediscover what he does best as a bowler. It will be a shame if he never recovers.
To be honest, Starc is the bowler I felt who would trouble our batsmen the most before the series began in both 2018/19 and 2020/21 tours. Our team is lucky in a way that did not see the best of him, not too long ago he took plenty of wickets against NZ and Pakistan.

I think it is perfectly reasonable to take a sandwich to the dugout, especially if he was done batting and it wasn't the last wicket partnership or something. 40 minutes isn't enough for a lunch break sometimes, and maybe he wanted to take a quick shower or something.

what is the dugout? is this a new americanism in cricket or do we actually have dugouts at aussie grounds now?

Salad dressing doesnt need salt.

Tomatoes in a jaffle maker are spawn of satan. A boiling mess of juice just waiting to inflict instant mouth burn. Earns double points by one bite dragging all of the boiling tomato flesh in one shot burning you lip, chin and neck as well.

Yeah the BBL is responsible.
Well T20 as a whole is, because the original point of T20 was supposed to be quick games with no fat, and so reducing the time for batsmen to come out was one choice, so players needed a proper sideline space. The dugout has naturally expanded from that, plus most grounds already had a version of the dug out for the interchange bench in AFL anyway
