Can't catch a break, but have certainly caught a few broken ****ing arms.India can't catch a break here.
Can't catch period. But now Saini hurt zzz.
I mean the Archer spell doesn't explain why he's decided to clam up completely vs offspin bowling on hard pitches.I'm not sure how accurate it is but I think the Archer spell probably has limited him to some degree. He hasn't looked quite the same since. Now he's turned into a more "normal" batsman who can be vulnerable early on but is still more than capable of outstanding knocks. Problem is that Australia have big problems at 5 and zero batting depth so that can bite....
Even though he was brilliant in the Ashes he's never felt as dominant to me since the ban, and even a little bit before it. Aside from the leg side strokes he used to absolutely lace anything outside off, and he doesn't score as much in the 'v' either, which is what that ball needed. It's like he needs to go and watch some old videos of himself. He was able to disrupt such plans, not work around them.Yep. Steve Smith ca 2015 would have hit that dead straight if at all possible.
Yeah I think one thing we can say is that full strength India is a better cricket team than full strength Australia, and by a margin at that. But jesus, how many ladders has India fallen under? Deadset this could've been 4-0 with a fully fit side (OK it might not have changed things that much in Adelaide but elsewhere......)
Yeah surely at some point they're just bowling slow seamers.i feel it stretches the definition of the word to describe that as "medium pace"
Reminds me of Wavell HindsYeah surely at some point they're just bowling slow seamers.
Reject modernity. Return to 19th century show medium lobs.Yeah surely at some point they're just bowling slow seamers.
cos those spinners bowl at the same speed as regular medium pacerswhy don't we classify bowlers as 'slow' anymore. Would be appropriate for those spinners who don't really turn the ball too.
So do I.I blame the coaching.
