If Pucovski's shoulder rules him out, does Wade return to opening and Head slot in at 5? I hope not.
Real conundrum that one.

Australia needs to find a genuinely good short leg again too. No one will catch absolutely everything, of course, but everyone who's had a dip there this series has come up short in terms of movement, reflexes, anticipation or all of the above. Some of those chances and half chances Wade, Head and Marnus have missed between them have burned my cheese no end. Can only imagine what Lyon thinks of them.

one thing is for sure

morale would be up massively despite all this **** and our guys will be up for a fight

new blood coming in with hope instead of dreading a 3-0 scoreline already will also be great

and expectations are at rock bottom now and we should be able to play like any fight we put up will be appreciated

all the pressure is on australia now

i think they are mentally fragile and could collapse to kuldeep who enjoys bounce in the surface
ok

Seems like he's just about done for Tas looking at his returns this year.
Had one of those weird careers were he genuinely helped his team achieve something great, beat SA in SA, and reclaim the No. 1 ranking with a handy innings on debut, and two ATG short leg catches, then was barely sighted again.
He was always intended as a casualty of collateral damage for the sake of Hughes.

I don't really hate the idea, but he hasn't played a FC game for over three years so it'd be a weird one. He celebrated his 18th birthday a month before his last one.

I queried this weird career trajectory in the Indian cricket thread here and @honestbharani told me that it's a been a mix of injury, unavailabilty and just plain not getting selected because they have Ashwin. A Test isn't something he'd have been expecting any time soon.

Really disappointing that so many Indian players have gotten injured in a mere 11 days of cricket.

Hope we get to see Bumrah on a pitch that should favour his bowling.

Literally the case where he is being played because he is the fittest one left.
