Well, its obviously a stretch but a lot of my colleagues are Indians who are now US citizens and a number of them have relocated to India during/just before the pandemic. The idea is to stay put with family till this blows over. Dunno if Dhawan and family did that but it won't surprise me if they did.
Right but the difference now is that (a) it would probably be very difficult for him to even get allowance to bring anyone else out of the country with him, given that he probably would have had to have the BCCI negotiate with the government to get special permission for him to leave at all and (b) if they did leave, it may well take many months for them to get back in. Like I said, trying to get back into Australia now for ordinary citizens or permanent residents is a total ****ing nightmare right now (and something of a disgrace, tbh).

Dhawan's probably living like a king in India now + closer to all his extended family, so perhaps it's worth the trade-off of not being able to return to Aus anytime soon.

Reminder that Dhawan was the original injury faker back in 2014. :p
You better not be referring to that incident in the 2013 ODIs where he mocked Watson who had been achilles heel'd by an injury, like mythological figures tend to do. Because nothing gets my hackles up quite as quickly and I get vicious just at the thought of it.

Whatever it takes!!!

No that was worse obviously. But I am talking about the Brisbane test in 2014 tour. When he apparently got a knock in the nets and did not go out to bat and restart his innings and asked Virat to go in with little notice.

Lol I remember everyone blaming him for Virat getting out to Johnson like a spud

I think the whole argument was about whether the blow was bad enough for him to not go out there and bat. As in, if he had been hit like that by the first ball he faced, he would have still continued with the magic spray etc.

Anyways, glad we have moved on from that farce to a time where players battling serious injuries are standing up and saving the game for the team.

Siraj, Saini, Shardul, Kuldeep could team up for a serviceable attack. Gill, Rohit, Pujara, Rahane, Pant, Saha and one of Mayank/Shaw/Vihari constituting the batting line-up. If rain soaks up even 40 percent of game time, we might escape with a draw to leave australia collectively apoplectic?

one thing is for sure

morale would be up massively despite all this **** and our guys will be up for a fight

new blood coming in with hope instead of dreading a 3-0 scoreline already will also be great

and expectations are at rock bottom now and we should be able to play like any fight we put up will be appreciated

all the pressure is on australia now

i think they are mentally fragile and could collapse to kuldeep who enjoys bounce in the surface

We should just say **** it and play this line up and just send Bumrah, Ash, Vihari and Mayank home.

Gill
Pujara
Rahane

Saha (wk)
