Yeah it's insanely good in tests. India are nearly invulnerable at home - while at the same time has dialled a few notches up while competing away.

It is such a shame Indian batting has been largely mediocre barring Kohli himself and Pujara to some extent, especially batting away. Rahane has blowed hot and cold sometimes. But a captain can only do so much about batting resources at disposal.

Also noticed that Jadeja's batting average has edged ahead of his bowling average away from home. 32.52 vs 32.44. That is world class.

Jadeja metamorphised from being 2nd spinner at home to a genuine world class all-rounder in tests infused a certain culture of merit in the team and also has overseen rise of Ashwin as spinner overseas, in particular Aus.
