Yup hear about him heaps here. I've rated him since he was a kid. He was a super star then along with Joel Harden. Probably not many know about Harden, not sure what happened to him but he was a serious talent from Nelson.
Joel Harden's dad an Englishman was a bit of a legend cricketer in UK. I was convinced Joel will go a long way. Still of the same age as leopard and Clarkson I think. Hope he's still playing cricket.
Only because Clarkson generally only played white ball for CD he's not in discussion all through the season. I think he's worthy of 4 day cricket spot now that he's bowling.

So how far do you think he will go in the next 3-4 years? NZ white ball teams after the 2022 T20 World Cup and after the 2023 World Cup? As a batting all-rounder (e.g. Neesham), or as a batter who bowls a few overs (e.g. Elliott)?

Aces playing Canterbury tomorrow. Back to back games for Canterbury. That's a lot to ask for. Back to back T20 games takes a lot out of the players. Hopefully get to see Latham and Nicholls tomorrow. Will be a cracker of a game if aces get all the black caps on the lineup.

Definitely in both white ball teams by 2023. He hasn’t bowled for a few years given all the injuries he’s had but he hasn’t looked too bad this season.Very much a batting all rounder though.
He’ll make bank in the IPL one day book it. He’s the finisher New Zealand have been looking for the last decade or so.
We definitely need a finisher and he looks like the goods. Can he bat 5 and play more substantial innings than just 30 off 13? I haven't seen enough of him. I know his body hasn't wanted him to bowl which isn't great for a 23 year old.

Damn, I'd have Clarkson and Dougie over Kuggs and Mitchell in the T20 pecking order these days. Neesh still the no.1 pick.
Tickner seriously needs a persisted run. Why isn't this guy more talked about? I don't get it. Needs a long run in the national t20 attack rather than the occasional game or 2 every year. I noticed last season he was working with a well reputed instagram page ran by a fast bowling coach/expert. The dude who owns the page primarily talks about the biomechanics of fast bowling. Hopefully Ticks is still in communication with him. His Pace has increased by 5-7km in comparison to last season. The action looks smoother and he runs in quicker. Stark comparison to what we saw on debut.

He's done quite well and now with Kyle Jamieson in the team they can afford to give Tickener a longer run in T20s. I suppose there's no place for 4 pacers as Boult and Southee will definitely play. Kyle as a 3rd seamer. They'll probably settle for CDG or Darryl Mitchell at no.7 and Santner at no.8
The only way he can play is if Southee doesn't play but that's not going to happen is it?

My bad, should have said average ball speed over 4 overs. Although even his top speed has increased a bit. Never saw a reading on tv of more than 142 for him in previous seasons + whenever super smash games whipped out the speedometer. Against pak recently he hit 144 and 145.

You know, as someone involved in the low and/or social levels of cricket around the Auckland region, I encounter virtually no South Africans and literally entire competitions entirely comprised of Indians, yet every new Aces player is South African. Do these NZ-raised South Africans just emerge fully-formed as first class or premier club cricketers somehow? Does this speak to a class structure in Auckland cricket perhaps? I have played for a team on the North Shore before, but mostly out west and out south.
