It was pure selfishness from Jadeja.

This is a high IQ take, but I genuinely believe that since run-outs are not recorded statistically, they are a waste of time as far as attempts at dismissal go. Basically you're costing a bowler a wicket and robbing them of a career potentially under certain circumstances.
He robbed himself a 5fer in Australia for the good of the team. No one else was getting a wicket the way it was going.

Yeah "run out" was the only way Smith was going that innings.

Smith.exe will have to recompile to better incorporate field placement into it's calculations for batting with the tail.

Buckle up friends. You're about to witness a revolution in opening the batting in tests.

Yeah. And also continue to pray for such good pitches and Saini like bowlers.

Still he batted like a Champion with the tail. Brilliant.

Sharma's half step in his trigger movement might get him into trouble against Starc.

Gill does the same thing as well. They both stick that front leg out then rely on weight transfer rather than big foot movement. It's what gives the illusion that they have a lot of 'time' to play the ball.
