Was seeing that and shaking my head. Finally "the new Keith Miller" or "the best since Ponting" and from the big boys in the press too. The building up was to all new levels.

Difference is Mulder deserves the hype. Been going on about him for 3 years now and nothing I`ve seen changes that.

And just for @Gnske I will state again. Mulder if he stays on the park will be the best allrounder in the world in 2 years.

And van Tonder needs to get in the team. Because he will be SA next great batsmen of this generation.

That not his responsibility. And then next test is dropped for a poor quality allrounder to cover for the poor bowling performance.

Mulder has shown despite this attacks strength he is solid in defence but has a stroke-range to punish you when he can.

Hundred v a decent India A attack in India with players like P.Malan, Erwee, Hamza, de Bruyn, Second all there. Markram obviously got a 100 too.

I think this is the biggest part of Boucher and coaches role. Getting the senior guys that remained performances up that were dropping off a cliff before he became coach.

Mulder at 7 changes the entire look of the batting line-up. 5 down and you still have 2 batsmen in that are capable of going big. Long term Mulder likely to bat 6.

Elgar and Faf have responded well in this test. They need to stay at this level for the next 2 years, while the youngsters get introduced.
