What's the margin of error for umpires tracking the ball live though? Because that's the only thing that matters here surely.
i think there are other, non-"raw percentage of correct decisions" factors involved in whether you should overrule the human umpire every single time. there has to be some level of continuity in the game between everything below test level and at test level.

Nothing makes me think lesser of cricket players more than hearing their braindead chatter behind the stumps. For some reason, you think that their chatter and sledges would be so much better than what you could come up with at the pub. But it’s so much worse. I guess it’s good they’re good at putting bat to ball because I wouldn’t trust them to replace a lightbulb.

Yeah it’s genuinely noticeable that the chat gets worse the higher the grade you play. The stuff in the park is usually better than in higher grade cricket, which seems better than that at FC level (in Aus anyway).

Weirdly though, I don’t mind Wade chirping back at Pant here from an individual pov. Might keep him focused

Wade has said that verbal chat with the opposition helps fire him up as a batsman, right?
