It seems like they thought NCN was going to be able to bowl but had spent too much time off the field....? if they knew he couldn't bowl, Zahir surely would have continued his spell and bowled the 18th instead of Zampa

and it was called as leg byes. was he outside the stumps when he was hit and maxwell didn't bother appealing? surely worth trying to appeal given what we've seen

Yeah I was surprised they didn't appeal. I was thinking maybe I'd missed an edge, but nope.

Wasn't out but I've seen more optimistic appeals for less consequential wickets in my time for sure...

On Contracts - "T20 is knife edge, therefore there should only be two year contacts because thats really edgy"
On Wages - "If you're in a T20 squad, you should only get paid if you play. That way everything is better and the guys on the fringe are begging for money by the time the season is over."

In between that was a constant barrage of Andy Maher asking the same questions to Lara over and over and trying desperately to get him to say he likes the new BBL rules.

i mean the strategic timeouts are, and always have been, colossally stupid from a cricketing pov. from a non-cricketing pov is another matter.
