I always thought it had to be head height for slow bowlers, as a waist high ball isn't really dangerous coming from a spinner

Yeah I just looked at the MCC laws - possible that BBL could use a different version of the rule but I don't see why they would - and it's waist height for all bowling, so Hughes probably stiff
