Another quality knock by Troy Johnson and Gibson has been very good for Firebirds with the bat. That said if Guppy gets struck in today this score will be beaten fairly easily.

5 fifties in a row for Will O'Donnell in Auckland. Is he related to the other O'Donnell or just a coincidence? He's born in South Africa whereas Robbie isn't so hard to tell.

Canterbury could have used McClure today! Though it's nice to see the Hay brothers play a representative match together.

Both the boys are brothers and their dad Mark O'Donnell used to coach Auckland only recently. He made way for Malan couple of years ago.

I see Fisher bounced out both Rutherford and Broom today. Now that Ferguson is done it’s time everyone hoped on the quickest bowler in New Zealand bandwagon....

Actually didn't look like he was bowling that quick today, and bounce was quite tennis ballish, imo.

Not as sharp as his previous videoed match. But much better figures, obviously more controlled.

Anyway, good on him. Good for a young guy to get wickets.

Saw William O'Donnell was South Africa born and so assumed no relation to Robbie O'Donnell, cheers for correcting.

Yeah looks promising though regarding speed, need to remember that Howsie's ND kilometres are only 800 metres .

Robbie is SA born as well, though.

Think Mark O'D emigrated early 2000s or maybe late 90s for his first stint coaching Auckland.

Edit: or maybe not. Just did a quick google and got confusing results for both Mark and Robbie. Phones are useless sometimes.

Yeah but he could be anything on the Raven's progressive matrices, am I right. Double digits, even.

The Raven's Tests and Speed Radar Duathlon: Fisher vs. Sears.

1980s Krypton Factor intro music to compliment this really ideal Spark Sport rain delay content.

And that bounced out in the case of Neil Broom today was a leading edge off a length ball...

I enjoyed Devcichs dismissals today. I always do, but his Maxwell-esque leave to a straight one was just a bit more enjoyable than usual

Won't call Fisher rapid, he's more like mid 130s but has very good action and nice approach to the crease. Bit skiddy off the deck but once he gets a bit stronger lower body wouldn't be a problem adding 5 k. Given his smooth run up he'll be consistent with his lines and length which is great. More of a Matt Henry than a Lockie this lad.

Ah, there's the whimsical, cryptic crossword of a cricket fanatic we all know and love.

Haha if I ever disappear, I'm sure Cribb will do the right thing and set me up with a quite obscure hidden gem of a forum with some very strict membership criteria. One that only elicits about 200 posts on NZ cricket each summer month, 150 of them just being my discussions with Cribb.

Check my profile picture, if you're looking for sheer pace he's the dude. I don't think I'm going to go wrong with this dude. Only matter of time, he'll eclipse most of our faster bowlers and also will go for plenty of runs when not his day. He'll hit 150s consistently but will play very few games between his studies and injuries. Current status: Injured :(
