*Official* West Indies in New Zealand - Nov/Dec 2020

Kane being out is definitely an opportunity for our bowlers given that everyone else apart from Latham looked fragile.

Having said that, if I describe those Kiwi batsman as fragile, I don't think I have an appropriate adjective to describe ours.....

Still, at least we get to see a couple of new players this test. Chemar is a very exciting bowler with all the talent you could wish for, but his natural length is not ideal for these green pitches. He will have to adjust. Looking forward to watching it.

The weather has picked up since yesterday late afternoon, there's been lot of sun since and quite windy. I'm guessing the match should start on time.

With Kane out, will be interesting to see who fronts up for NZ with the bat. Lot if responsibility obviously on Latham and Taylor, but the rest of the top 6 each have something to prove.

Banking on Tom Blundell... he's from Wellington, has played for donkey's years for Wellington Firebirds and he'll go all right here I feel.

Nicholls will come good, he's due for a big one. Expecting too much out of Young when he's just come is asking for too much.

Batting looking quite fragile for NZ tbh ... a lot on Latham's shoulders. The rest either inexperienced, returning from injury or not in the best form.

17 degrees, cloudy, blustery, cold - sounds like touring West Indies players favourite conditions
It might be tough for them to get the ball in the right place by the way they were being blown around at the toss. The pitch is green, but that's one thing in NZ's favour. I'd always prefer to be batting in a wind like this!

Probably much harder bowling in strong wind, but I always hated batting in them too. Throws your balance all over the place, feel like you have to change your stance to compensate, and one side of the wicket always feels less accessible.

At least I get to settle into the test watching our stronger discipline. I am so done with our batting.

So Roach and Dowrich flying home and Hetmyer and Keemo are both nursing injuries; concussion and groin, respectively.

only Da Silva added to the squad...
So the final eleven for the second test might look like:

1.Brathwaite
2. Campbell
3. Bravo
4. Brookes
5. Chase
6. Blackwood
7. Da silva
8. Holder
9. Joseph
10. Chemar
11. Gabriel

I don’t see Cornwall getting a game
So Windies picked my eleven

We blaming the wind for this from Gabriel?

Though does have the feel that he could suddenly randomly get one on the money and get an edge behind.
