So will obviously be picked up by CSK next season..Why are rcb sticking with finch?? It's not like watson with csk where watson has shown an ability to win ipl games singlehandedly, finch has always been **** in ipl and Every time he's passed 30 this season he's been dropped at least once.
Umesh Yadav for Purple Cap next season?People should just wait to see whom RCB discard every season and pick them up on bargains and watch as they win them games single handedly. Its a proven strategy.
A wicket taker in the power play to be fair but very expensive, I also wonder which team he fits into who can afford to have him as a power play specialist who bowls 4 upfront and whether he can get himself into any XI if he's not performing that role. Why not?
Chahar and Curran and even Ngidi have all done that at various points for CSK just in the last 3 seasons including this one.A wicket taker in the power play to be fair but very expensive, I also wonder which team he fits into who can afford to have him as a power play specialist who bowls 4 upfront and whether he can get himself into any XI if he's not performing that role.
Ngidi has normally come back for a 2nd spell I thought? Chahar probably the fairest example but even then is Umesh Yadav good enough to replace Chahar? Chahar doesn't seem such a liability outside the powerplay either. I struggle to see which side he (Yadav) plays in - maybe someone like RR if they wanted to hold Archer back for 3 at the death but even then Archer can only bowl the death overs at one end, someone else would have to bowl the death overs - surprised Rajpoot hasn't played more but are Rajpoot/Tyagi options they can bank on at this stage where they can afford to have 1 of their seamers who doesn't offer a secondary skill with the bat to be able to bowl in only 1 stage, that being the powerplay. At his age unless he's being bought to be in the first XI or as a first reserve who still plays almost half the games, a younger option which allows the teams to be more flexible is probably better.Chahar and Curran and even Ngidi have all done that at various points for CSK just in the last 3 seasons including this one.
Beat KXIP by 2 runs and SRH in a super over, absolutely massive wins for them otherwise rather then being 4th they'd be pretty much out the playoff race completely, below CSK on NRR. I'm going for RR to qualify in 4th - not really sure why as KXIP look better but a few games back thought if anyone was to make a late charge for playoffs it would be RR.Mental that KKR are in 4th with so many out-of-form players
