Nah, rust does not fly as an excuse for the first game when both teams are equally rusty. If anything, CSK had more rust going into that game having been under quarantine for 14 more days than the others and consequently 15 days less practice than every other side.


They are certainly looking unbeatable at this point though. I would still wanna see how they go outside Abu Dhabi and the bouncy track of theirs.
