*Official* Pakistan in England 2020

I'm sad that fawad might not even get a chance to redeem himself after that duck.
Yeah I know I feel sad for Fadi but really he should not be there at all.

his time was 2008-2015 when he was a beast in FC cricket on underprepared tracks where every Joe trundler would amble in and run riot. Post 2015 he has still maintained a good average but he has lost his consistency and he mostly goes big 2-3 times a season to keep the average up but the consistent good scores are missing.

He had serious injustice but two wrongs do not make a right, a batsman of his technique will never do well once the reflexes slow down down with age and Pakistan is just wasting a spot with him which could be used for a developing a younger batsman

I hope Misbah is brave and drops both Asad and Fawad for next test and goes with Imam and Shadab as Paksitan needs to be developing younger batsmen even if results are compromised for a time period; which I doubt they will be any further given how pathetic Shafiq has been for a while now.I like Imam he has quite an upside and will eventually crack test cricket imo.

I can't help but feel a lot of this has been down to how absolutely unwilling the umpires have been to play. FFS these lads have lived in a bio bubble for over 2 months having flown in, let them ****ing play ffs, **** the bad light just get on with it. I know it's supposedly spongy underfoot this morning, but we lost so much time in this test because of the umpires and crap light rules. We could have easily had 2 innings done in this game by now and had been looking at a final day with a result still possible even if improbable, but now it's just a waste of everybodies time because of how much time we've lost.

Meh, now there's no point anymore. For what, a few cheap meaningless wickets for the bowlers? Just call the damn thing off.

Id think, from a Pakistani point of view it would be better to select Shadab?

Big questions for England again regarding batting and best bowling combo

England's top 7 won't change, irrespective of Burns' struggles, Bess probably stays and there's little need to rest Broad or Anderson. So it comes down to one from Curran, Wood and Archer again.

It won't change but it should.

I know squads and selections are limited but who could fit into a top 3?

Personally I'd like wood back in as he looks ready. Probably for curran

Think they will probably just bring back Archer.

Will be our last match for a good while, no reason to change things now.

The reserve batsman could have batted 3 with Crawley opening, but he's left the squad due to, I think, a family bereavement. I don't think there is anyone else available. But I wouldn't be dropping Burns after three poor innings anyway.

Whatever it takes!!!
Those conditions were tough for anyone. I won't drop batsmen for missing out there.

Is the weather better for this week and the next test?

why should it change? its almost like we've learnt nothing off the back of nearly 10 years of chopping and changing the top order every series.

i can't deny that i don't think burns is much cop but there isn't a single bloke in CC at the moment who would out score him at test level. especially against the quality of fast bowling burns has faced this summer.

Why are they so averse to playing Imam in Tests? He looks the real deal in ODIs and not as a slogger but as a determined and compact young batsman.

Imam has played 11 tests already and has an average of 25, and a pretty underwhelming fc record, pretty clear cut as to why he's not played.

Nah he's played quite a few Tests and has largely stunk it up. FC record fairly average too.
