Whatever it takes!!!
I like the look of Crawley. I know Pope is all the rage as far as young English batsmen go but think Crawley has some punch to him. Can go on to be a very good batsman for them IMO, even better than Pope.
No, I mean we were desperate for an opener who could occupy the crease for a bit and score some runs. We’d been messing around with Keaton Jennings etc for a while and we were crying out for an opener who could actually hit runs. He's been one of the best performing openers domestically. That isn't desperate.
vs Crawley?Worth Shaheen putting in the odd yorker here imo.
Looks plenty effective to me. Crawley’s walking at him now though so yeah might be time to bring the keeper up.Abbas would be an order of magnitude more effective on this deck of the keeper was up to the stumps
Nah, Pope is absolutely brilliant. He’ll be one of the best in a few years I reckon, I’m willing to stick my neck out. Averaged over 60 in FC cricket, in English conditions, before he was picked. Crawley looks good but I can’t see him being as good as pope. Can go on to be a very good batsman for them IMO, even better than Pope.
yeah that’s why. It stops an exaggerated movement forward let alone someone walking at him. Be ballsy but worth a shot imho. He’s nigh bowling backwards at his paceLooks plenty effective to me. Crawley’s walking at him now though so yeah might be time to bring the keeper up.
If he does though, I am sure you will be doubly happy.Nah, Pope is absolutely brilliant. He’ll be one of the best in a few years I reckon, I’m willing to stick my neck out. Either imo. Just a ball that seems to be forgotten about.vs Crawley?
Always wondered whether a Maurice Tate or Tom Cartwright pace bowler would still be effective in these sorts of conditions with the keeper up.Abbas would be an order of magnitude more effective on this deck if the keeper was up to the stumps
