I'd watch international cricketers play a bit of indoor cricket at this point. Desperate for cricket.Starting to think this Test is a bit pointless. Might as well give them a couple of days off. No spectators to refund either.
Tate was effective in Australia on fast roads. Cartwright never could or would and latterly neither could Abbas. Suggest chalk is being lumped with cheese here.Always wondered whether a Maurice Tate or Tom Cartwright pace bowler would still be effective in these sorts of conditions with the keeper up.
Darren Stevens is still taking wickets in Div 1 so there is that.
I wouldn't say "found out" as such, more a reversion to the mean.We were desperate though weren’t we? I mean we were just looking for an opening batsmen who would hang around for a bit and make a few decent scores. Burns has done well in this aspect, however he’s had a disaster of a series. Wonder if he’s been found out?
Remember when Fat Gray was the best bat since Bradman, bad times....I wouldn't say "found out" as such, more a reversion to the mean.
With the arc he brings his bat down at he's always going to be squared up occasionally and keep the slips interested, especially when the ball's hooping.
One of the problems with a funky technique is that, when one's not in prime nick, it gets focussed on both by the oppo (one thinks of Fat Gray with his tendency to strangle the bat going to hide in the middle order when Hoggard's inswingers were causing him a few issues) and ****s like me with our half-arsed insights.
Fat Gray being Graeme Smith?Remember when Fat Gray was the best bat since Bradman, bad times....
How many angles have you got slated for this joke?Pakistan must be pretty disappointed with their bowling attack, only taken one wicket and we're halfway through day 4.
Yup. Too much feasting on England's bowlers back in the day.Fat Gray being Graeme Smith?
Indeed so.Remember when Fat Gray was the best bat since Bradman, bad times....
I think the match was abandoned beause the ground staff stated it would take them between 2-3.5 hours to dry the outfield....which does seem far too long for a modern outfield, unless there are problems with the Aegeas bowl and maybe it should not be fit for test cricket.Local weather update. We have had blue skies & lovely condituons since 4.45pm uk time. They could easily have played a three hour session! I mowed my lawn at 5pm it wasnt wet. Total farce. Not sure whats going on at the ground..?????
