Has anyone done a Stokes prebiff vs postbiff? It seems to have transformed him into something very special. Not to ignore there is a victim out there, but perhaps the pending loss of freedoms and ability to play cricket has knocked Stokes into a new mental fortitude that makes him a bit awesome at the moment.

He was much better for the 18 months before the 2017 incident than the 18 months after. If anything he's just over the last year gotten past the interruption to his career.

I am not so sure about Woakes but Stokes and Curran should start every game for England IMO. A 5-8 of Stokes, Pope, Foakes and Curran sounds very good.

Our ground fielding has been poor this series. Could have had a fair few runouts already with clean pick-ups and accurate throws to the right end.

This happens every time he plays. Everyone's like this kid is dynamite but by the time the next test rolls around he looks hard to squeeze in again.

I agree, but it gives them a headache with Anderson, Broad and Archer. I don't mind Wood being rotated in and out but the other 3 will want to play every game and say we leave Anderson out it looks suspect if we lose.

Not in my mind though. I understand why they don't want him when Anderson is still around but post him, with Archer and Broad being regulars, I see no reason not to play Curran unless you go to the SC and wanna play the additional spinner.
