When did England last lose 2 tests in a row at home?

Anyway I think they need a lot of runs on the board with a challenging run rate. You'd want to be able to set attacking fields for the whole time rather than worry about containing runs. England clearly didn't have enough runs in the 1st test despite Archer's opening spell so Bess was under bowled. Apart from Kraigg Brathwaite most of their batsmen would prefer to chase a target than shut up shop.

Can someone please post a live feed of a NZ motorway so we know what the weather is like?

PSA: Setting a small target generally isn’t a great way to win.
you complain about people edge lording and being snarky for its own sake on the net a lot, and this is an example of your usual manner when you strongly disagree with someone.

tend to your own house first aye

It's a time declaration rather than a runs one, isn't it? WI aren't realistically chasing anything over 250 in 2.5 sessions in the fourth innings, so it's just a question of teeing off for what - an hour or so?

Depends if he wants a second new ball available I suppose. But if the Poms put on 60-70 odd in an hour, there's no way WI gets within a bulls roar when they're 1-0 up and a draw sees them at worst draw an away series to a side ranked above them.

Edit: lol Buttler, too

Without checking, whichever year they lost to SL at Headingly and then fell behind top India when Ishant Sharma bounced them out. Maybe 2014? And I can't remember if there was a drawn match at the start of the India series.

I don’t remember complaining about snark but fair cop. Didn’t need the ‘PSA’

Most of the Windies lineup is technically and temperamentally unsuited to batting purely for survival. Putting them in a situation that demands exactly that is England's best chance.

The Sharma 7-for was in the 2nd test, after the draw at TB where Cook took a wicket.

Don't Chase, Dowrich and Holder have a history of fourth innings rearguards?

Edit: There's a chance I may be imagining this/thinking of them putting up big fourth innings scores under low pressure.
