Yeah, that wasn't great. Neither was Richards' behaviour later in the same series. No idea how they behaved when Pakistan were giving them a decent contest in the 1980s tbf.The test in Trinidad where they were bowling seven overs an hour in order to avoid going 2-0 down.
They were as petulant as any other outfit when they were under the kosh tbh, because they were so used to winning
Tbh, that other outfit is just Australia. The rest of us don't get a chance to be arrogant. The test in Trinidad where they were bowling seven overs an hour in order to avoid going 2-0 down.

Thats not the point Burgey is making. There's a romantic tint of viewing the Windies hey daysI never thought they were any paragons of virtue. They made the whole time wasting thing seem like a legitimate tactic, just like the Aussie team of the noughties made sledging seem a legitimate tactic. People just remember the good things as time goes by. The Windies style of play took a life of its own and now I am seeing a similar halo about the Aussie team of the noughties forming. Most of us only remember the good things as time goes by, I guess.
2 in 3 according the the Guardian**** me. Come back Denly, all is forgiven.
