Remember the 4 (I think) Stokes took in SA. Have faith
No, this is too big of a reach this time. In SA, we were bowling against their tail, here we still have to get out Blackwood, holder, Campbell, and the rest of the tail. Too big a reach.

WinViz suggesting England would win 1 of every 10 games from this position is... highly optimistic. 22 runs isn't a lot.

Whatever it takes!!!
True but it's too late for control, wickets are the only thing that matter now. Targets of <= 200 just don't give you that luxury of control, any counterattack at all and any control you had just vanishes. Just gotta get them out first.
For all their pace bowling variety, only Anderson gives control. Broad, Archer, Stokes and Wood are all varying degrees of all or nothing.

And Captain Magic does the job! 2 40s and 5 for the match.

 Scratch that last bit.

Yeah but it is not like Anderson will not attack. That was the point. Many of these Windies batsmen can be loose on the drive and he will keep them honest. Sure he is not likely to produce a magic ball that smokes through the defences like Wood but in my opinion, in these conditions, you should go for Stokes/Archer/Wood from one end and Anderson/Bess from the other. The track is not helping the bowlers but its not easy to score either. Its become kinda tacky as a surface.

I mean, even post tea when only 50 odd were needed. With the Windies tail and their inexperience of having been in such positions, we are never too far away from a collapse.

Assuming WI finish the job, I guess Wood and Denly would make way for Broad and Root in the next Test.

I am still unsure of Crawley as a #3. I would rather see him open with Burns and Sibley bat at 3. And they can decide between Sibley and Denly for #3 as well for the rest of this series, if they like Denly so much.

Don't understand the logic of this at all.
