He's still out there but Denly is so average
It's weird, actually.

He's a much, much more classically correct batsman than Sibley, but even just watching this small passage of play it looks as if the younger man is the more likely to succeed.

Everything Denly does looks just a fraction of a beat off.

Heh, I said "beat off".

And a beautiful straight drive from Denly to show he can do it when the planets align.

He plays all these great drives, but as you say, when its not in his corridor he looks awful

As much as Denly doesn't look test quality at least with him happy to chill at the crease forever we're no longer 30/3 after 15 overs like we were doing for a long long time.

Good stuff Sibley.

Well I would have taken this position at the start of play. Least the game isn't already over, trouble is we have lost 2 set players without going on to a big score which we needed.

One of those you think your own team is hard done by whatever the decision. Mega tight.
