I'd say the required NRR wreaks havoc with the AI when batting second. Generally speaking the AI seems to be more aggressive when chasing, which can pay off sometimes & other times ends in complete disaster.A strange feature of this tournament is that in each of the 9 times the team batting second has lost, they've been bowled out.
In actual T20s, it's much more common to run out of overs (in internationals, this has happened in 61% of losses - 64% for Test teams).
