Once again a lapse in concentration letting Ravindra down after he'd gotten himself well set. He'll need to work on that if he's to go to the next level.

Nice to see Young making a solid return, he has a big opportunity tomorrow.

Rae's triple sweat band setup has made me an instant fan
The way Neil Broom painted it on the mic in the semi, he's a special unit ol' MD Rae. I enjoyed the wicket where he strutted down the wicket a bit, ripped off his head band and shoved it in his pocket, Bryan Young style.

tbf if your having to play this guy called Rae (I honestly don’t know who he is) and the corpse of Ed Nuttall the options are obviously pretty bad

Can’t believe our depth has dropped away so quickly. Milne, Wheeler and Bracewell all being made out of tissue paper hasn’t helped at all either.
our depth is playing odis next week because our best 3 odi quicks are injured. throw in a couple of injuries to nz A reps and this happens. they're doing well though, which is good.

50 partnership for the third wicket, Patel contributing most. 3 6s in one over haha Going to be a long day for India A.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
The nzc videos seem to be only one hooked 6 on repeat three times. What were the other two?
Nope, carbon copy deliveries and shots. Check Young at the other end:

1st 6, taps bat behind his left foot at non-strikers end, holding gloves

2nd 6, taps bat next to left foot, holding gloves

3rd 6, has gloves on

If Chapman's still in at stumps, I wonder if I should send Siraj a (traitorous) video all about getting their lengths and tactics sharpened up. Might make for an interesting pre-lunch session on day 3.

Haha... The NZ A finally making the India A sweat. It's been quite a challenge for India A this series. Our lads just keep on coming and the lower order has been so strong. Great to see. There are still two more batters to come.

Would love to see Cleaver in as a left field pick for NZ some time. Hard to see where to slot him in now though as our middle-lower batting order is pretty settled.

Yeah playing one of these knocks on an away A tour will be the holy grail for Cleaver, I suppose. If there's no turn and the ball's coming on nicely, it's best to watch out, he could take your head clean off.

200 runs partnership for the 6th wicket with Cleaver tonning up and soon to be followed by Chapman. Loving this as India A side doesn't drop a game generally. Some lovely strokes by Cleaver, he sure can bat. Another wicket keeper that can bat very well as if we didn't already have Tom, Glenn and Seifert. Chapman going from strength to strength as well... following up his hundred from the one day game. NZ A batting looking quite strong and yet to come is McConchie and Solia, both can bat as well. Hoping they will put 500 on the board and declare by lunch tomorrow.

cleaver has been a class player for some time. good with the gloves i hear and obviously has it with the bat. if blundell cements the opener position cleaver is the obvious reserve to watling and should be in odi and t20 squads now.

seifert looks an improved keeper from last season but he's a batsman imo and could be a very good one.

chapman is surprising me with this knock in red ball cricket. great stuff.

young seems to be hitting the ground running. a couple of 50s on return from injury across two formats. just needs a couple of daddy tons to prove he's really back to his best from last year pre-injury.

geez rachin looks a gun. i reckon he's going to have one of those mental sinclair/munro/ingram seasons very soon. would love us to hold the trigger on him in internationals until he has a massive shield season. if he plays odis he'll suffer from the henry/guptill lack of red ball game time.
