Two obviously flawed, but intriguing XIs in the Lancs battle. Both have wonderful bowling attacks, with maybe AndyB's variety and depth just, just giving him the edge there. Murali could bowl all day at one end when the shine was off and the quicks could be rotated to keep them fresh.
Not a fan of keepers opening in tests, but Marcuss's lack of a specialist keeper at all is possibly a bigger flaw. I'll hold my hands up and say I'm not sure who the nominal custodian is, but I'm assuming it's Foxy and I was hitherto unaware he ever donned the gauntlets.
With a seam attack of Wasim, SF Barnes, Jimmeh and Colin Croft I wouldn't wanna run the risk of a part-time gloveman arsing the nicks, so I think I have to go with AndrewB, even allowing for the nosebleed Mikey Holding gets at #8.
The XIs in the second match-up look more classically made-up, but without the stellar names from the first. Clearly that's a result of the draft's parameters.
I think I have to give NUFAN the candle though. Mr's top 7 possibly have the edge, with the 4-5-6 engine room looking to have a higher ceiling than Noofers's, but I think Noofs's seam attack is ahead (love me some Zak) and one would have to back Vettori and Shastri against Mushie playing largely a lone hand.
