Good call on the Sully/Neser comparisonAnd Hazlewood bowled at around 130 in this tournament at the same age.
Near 140 is plenty quick enough.
I feel most bowers add about 5kph from their 19 days once they get stronger and fitter.
Sully is a 140+ bowler when he’s older.. He had a nice action and nipped it a bit.
He might not be a Cummins, but he might be another Neser as an example.
Anyway, Cummins is what 25? Cameron Green is also only 20, and is definitely the best up and coming quick in Australia.
Sangha was definitely the most impressive. His action looks quite a bit like Rashid Kahn’s
I think seedings are derived from the final placings in the previous U19 World Cup.What are Australia, England and the West Indies doing in the same group? Seems rough on Nigeria.
And Nigerians ?Most of the West Indians are built like men
Most of the English and Australians have much more growing to do
Watching game with Social JnrAnd Nigerians ?
Those guys are normally big . In soccer the Nigerians always push us aside because of their size.
Yep I wish he would tone it down a little bit. Still, he's going to be a hell of a player so we might have to get used to it at international level also.Great to see the Windies doing well. Looks to be some very good players in that side.
Boy, that Julien guy ain't half gobby, though.
I honestly couldn't believe that our boys are this good.Very proud of our guys. To top the group that includes England and Australia and all the millions of £££ they put into youth development is a great achievement. Hopefully they can carry this into the knockout phase also.
Ramon Simmonds is a quick left armer and he's in this squad. Great times!I honestly couldn't believe that our boys are this good.
I knew Nedd was top class, but the pacers have outshone him.
Good signs for Windies cricket. Gone are the days of Darren Powell and Lionel Baker.
What we now need is a left arm fast bowler.
I don't think the Windies win against Aus had much to do with superior development or talent, it had alot to do with the ball bouncing off of feet and limbs to dismiss their top order whilst backing up.Very proud of our guys. Last edition team was a bit of an outlier though, they were head and shoulders above the rest of the team and didn't even sweat in any of the games. No offence but India looked just all right, nothing extra ordinary. Last edition Indian team was absolute gun. Excellent in all facets of the game.
australia seems to be producing more sour blokes than you'd expect these daysI don't think the Windies win against Aus had much to do with superior development or talent, it had alot to do with the ball bouncing off of feet and limbs to dismiss their top order whilst backing up.
From what I saw, that Aus side beats that Windies side 9/10 matches they play again. Like I've said in this thread, there's some real elite talent in this edition of the Aus side.
It also helped that their most destructive bat also strangled one for a golden duck right after those run outs.
But thats cricket sometimes.
It will be interesting to see how the WI go in the finals.
Sets up an Aus vs India semi if Aus beat England.
Indeed. It's ok, I'll wait patiently from the comfort of the quarter finals whilst this elite Aussie side tries to avoid the plate competition.australia seems to be producing more sour blokes than you'd expect these days
