TBH, there is no way a 130 off 130 is acceptable at the Chinnaswamy no matter who you had to bat with. And he had good batsmen with him for most of his knock. ITs a shame it might win them the game though with India playing only 7 guys who can bat and one of the main ones from that is out of action.

Yeah the one knock that is keeping Australia in the game is "not acceptable".

FTR Smith has averaged 49 (53 in India) in ODI cricket since he came good towards the end of 2014.

Dhawan may not bat.. That is a HUGE factor IMO for Australia.

If Dhawan cannot bat, Australia will have to played very poorly to lose to a 10 man team, and only 6 of them who can hold a bat.

It's impossible to say whether this is a good score or a bad one until India bat. Though I think India should win this as the modern game relies on the success of openers and ours made a combined total of 22.

I actually think it is a decent idea to let Maxwell stay in T20 mode considering the WT20 is coming up later this year.

Next world cup is in India and Maxwell will be too old. Australia are moving on from Maxwell and Khawaja to prepare for it.
