How did Anderson break a rib!?
Root tackled him in a warm up rugby gameHow did Anderson break a rib!?
Wtf.........noooooooanderson ruled out for the rest of the series
Probably diving in the field. 3rd broken rib now. First Tremlett boxing 2010, second Siddle in the Ashes 2013.How did Anderson break a rib!?
Hey I dunno about that. It was a decent 4 runs, but hardly pivotal. He made all the difference in this first innings.

COverton is still with the squad too.Woakes or Archer?
I know it is supposed to add 'edge' but I felt it quite unnecessary at the time. People are just assuming he reacted to something Philander did which we don't really know.I don't really approve of sledging in general.
I have noticed a difference between the reaction here to Buttler calling Philander fat, and ***** and I doing it on most episodes of the podcast
I wonder what sort of track we expect at Port Elizabeth. If it's quicker than what we've seen so far I wouldn't want to be without Archer, assuming he's fit. And I'd bowl him first change actually, as I reckon Broad and Curran make better use of the brand new ball. If Archer isn't fit, then presumably Woakes plays. I don't see how Wood is picked unless 3 of the others go down with the squits again.COverton is still with the squad too.
But suspect it'll be Jofra, elbow permitting. Man in possession and coming off a 5-for, albeit an expensive one.
We might see Leach back for Bess too. Young Dom did a solid containing job, but doesn't look too much of a wicket taking threat.
https://www.sport24.co.za/Cricket/EnglandinSA/buttler-fined-for-verbally-abusing-philander-20200109England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler has been fined 15 percent of his match fee after he was caught on live TV calling Proteas veteran Vernon Philander a "****ing knobhead".
Haha, wouldn’t surprise me. I hope he makes it through another English summer, just for the send off. Can’t see him touring Australia as he’s said he’d like to.Root tackled him in a warm up rugby game
It appears to have been a fine and a demerit point. Are Demerit Points still a thing? I thought the Buttler incident was one of the sort of things they were supposed to cover?
PE is never quick, it most likely will be slower then newlands. Certainly nowhere close to centurion.I wonder what sort of track we expect at Port Elizabeth. And agreed about Leach vs Bess. Leach was the man in possession until he was unwell and definitely looks more of a threat to SA's right-handers than Bess. The youngster's supposedly superior batting wasn't quite borne out at Cape Town either.
Het got one demerit point. ICC decided it wasn't a personal insult...Are Demerit Points still a thing? I thought the Buttler incident was one of the sort of things they were supposed to cover?
