regarding Latham the right decision was made, even though it was a close one. Ball was hitting the stumps, given out. If it was given not out then Australia would have more right to whinge than NZ do now

You can't deny that there are matches and whole series when one side's batsmen seem to frequently get given out to those sorts of deliveries that are clipping and one side's don't.
You can argue that when one side is on top they will create more opportunities like this so it can be a case of confirmation bias when more of them get given, but I think the distribution of ump calls has not been even in this series.

Like how Latham was given out even though obvs sliding down leg yet Burns looked plumb af and not given. There's been terrible umpiring across this whole series to both teams to be honest.
They should really do away with umpires call/soft signal for anything except LBW. That CdG dismissal in Perth still annoys me - "conclusive evidence" haha what a joke.
