Pains me to say it because Warne is all over it, but this Meredith kid is something special.

that was actually quite a match considering all the stoppages. more drama than usual.

would have liked to see the hurricanes bowl out, stars would likely have got the runs anyway, but it was close.

unfortunately qais ahmed cost the hurricanes the match. being a smart arse he bowled 2 unnecessary bouncers which cost 5 wides and 2 extra balls. mcdermott did well to glove one of them. had he just bowled normal spin deliveries, who knows. as the stars won by 4 runs on d/l, this was the difference.

Think the third umpire made a complete horses arse out of that one. The last replay cut away too early, Sams took a slight step backwards with the ball still in his hands, the replay wasn't ran through for long enough. Don't get me wrong, 99% sure it was indeed out, but it's sloppy work from upstairs, just shows a lack of process

Also, McAndrew actually bowling wheels these days is bizarre, but I like it. At first I just thought it was just an optimistic speedgun, but he has done it every game this season and all the other Thunder pacers are operating at their usual range
