I’ve thought for a long time that CA should have pushed for bigger and longer series against NZ here. They’re a good team and they have such a large expat presence to boost the crowd attendance massively and the atmosphere of tests.

Besides, we can’t have Pakistan stinking up the marquee tests and South Africa refuse to tour at this time of year

Head always had the temperament and the know-how for Tests. Just not maybe the footwork, but #6 is the best place for him to iron that out. Plus the way he bats is pretty well suited to #6.
