*Official* New Zealand in Australia 2019/20

Well done to Southee, definitely his best test in Australia. I can see why you Kiwis were concerned, he has definitely dropped in pace, but I feel like a lot of the time people wanted him dropped from the test on the basis of prolonged poor one day form. That is just inherently flawed logic.

Raval still looks shaky, but Australia have been a touch off in these first few overs

lol starc, you've delivered on your talent for 5 minutes (under lights at that) and you're getting lippy to the nerd fighting for his spot. get in the bin.

Lol at saying "Last chance in your career" to Jeet Raval.

He really has no idea about the depth of openers in NZ domestic cricket.

I think that Aus ought to have tried attacking Southee more as he is not as fast as Wagner nor as varied, but not a wobbly need-to-time-it slow like The Big Man. Stand outside the crease so he can't swing it so much and will really have to bang it in short to make it lift a threatening amount.

jeet has to play boxing day. the most in form openers who also have a body of work behind them are rutherford and rachin...so no

i mean, if the mcg is its low slow self then mayyyybe rutherford but he's basically mitch santner to the short stuff.

Tough under lights, even with an old ball. Especially starting.

Isn’t Rachin the next big thing? Throw him in there, he’ll be better for it (probably) and can’t go any worse.

I'm sure they will give him all summer, but I feel like it's the wrong call. Why give a guy who is already obviously so low on confidence more goes? It's not doing him any good.
