Interesting if risky move by Taylor to attack Lyon. Obviously with Aus a bowler down if you can hit him out of the attack that means more overs for Starc when they want to be saving him, or they have to go to a part timer.

High risk stuff from Taylor but kinda necessary to disguise how suspect he is on defense these days, especially with that square up and prod he does.

Lyon a big threat.
Yeah Guha just said on comms "Taylor normally very good against spin...". You would hope the Aussies (like Guha apparently) haven't paid too much attention to Taylor's recent subcontinent outings.

tbf in sri lanka he pulled this mode into something more settled than his uae scores. manipulated them well to disguise his dodgy eyes.

Pretty impressive that Isa Guha has got herself on the commentary teams of the main broadcaster for both the English and the Australian summers.
You can tell that she actually puts in some time doing prep and familiarising herself with all of the players, while a few of the others seem to just wing it. She's good value IMO, even with the annoying 'Noo Zealand'.

I think that's his blueprint in spin-friendly conditions/situations these days, but again in Lanka it worked 1/3 times (twice out charging and edging to slip IIRC). Still, does show he's proactive about it.

I don't get this post after just viewing his recent Asia record. Some solid knocks mixed with some absolute ****

Yea they seem to be past the hardest time to bat in these matches. Plus the runs are flowing. Really hoping the cash in.

Having said that sometimes you still get unplayable balls like the one starc just bowled. Damn.
