Guys like Williamson and Root will always look like that because they’re so compact and technically correct. So it looks like they’re always in control even if they’re not quite there. Seems random when they get out****
was about to post that taylor's greatest strength as a batsman is his ability to stay in and score runs even while looking likely. Williamson's greatest weakness is his ability to randomly get out when looking rock solid.
true. can't figure taylor out though, dude just constantly looks edgy but piles up runs for us.Guys like Williamson and Root will always look like that because they’re so compact and technically correct. Okay I jinxed it. Averaging less than Lara and Miandad now.Don't want to jinx it but Kane is now averaging more than some bloke called Brian. Amazing for a Kiwi batsman.
Haha yeah he’s sort of the opposite in that he doesn’t always look likely but often finds a way. He took some risks vs Lyon but check out how he played Starc this over - smart. Shorter backlift, punch down the ground for a couple. Then a drop and go for one to get off strike. That’s nous.true. can't figure taylor out though, dude just constantly looks edgy but piles up runs for us.
I feel like the way he falls over his front pad trolls bowlers into being a touch full and straight to him too, giving him easy nudges to get off strike. Deceptively difficult to keep on strike.Haha yeah he’s sort of the opposite in that he doesn’t always look likely but often finds a way.
