Sorry, edited my post.Surprised Kallis isn't closer than Shakib
Noone is likely to make the list anytime soon. You would have to average over 40 with the bat and under 30 with the ball, score a great deal of runs and capture a lot of wickets. This has so far been beyond anyone.
Sobers is ranked no.169 in bowling.
Botham and Imran are ranked 196 and 201 respectively in batting.
Kallis is ranked no.189 in bowling.
The closest to achieving it of the current players is Shakib, who is ranked no.171 in batting and no.107 in bowling but it doesn't look like he'll get a chance to improve anytime soon.
Botham with 14 test hundreds is only #196! Shows how poor he was post hota purple patch that ended in early 80s.
Miller is ranked at no.265 in batting. What about Keith Miller?
An average of 22 with the ball.
A batting average of 37 with 7 centuries in 55 Tests( Imran scored 6 in 88 Tests and Kapil scored 8 in 131 Tests)
Jadeja? You're shitting me.He was already #30 of all time on bowlers' list.

I think if you want to be in the top 30 bowlers of all time, you need to be an automatic selection for the side you regularly play in no matter where they're touring tbh. The times he's not been picked on tours because conditions don't suit him help his stats enormously, as they would anyone in that position.211 wickets at an average of 24 and a SR of 60 is a good record.
Among spinners who have taken over 200 wickets, only Muralitharan averages less than him.
The Stuart MacGill effect.I think if you want to be in the top 30 bowlers of all time, you need to be an automatic selection for the side you regularly play in no matter where they're touring tbh. Exactly. Jadeja, Lillee they all gotta go.I think if you want to be in the top 30 bowlers of all time, you need to be an automatic selection for the side you regularly play in no matter where they're touring tbh. He gets dropped for another top 30 bowler of all time tbh. And vice versa.I think if you want to be in the top 30 bowlers of all time, you need to be an automatic selection for the side you regularly play in no matter where they're touring tbh. FFS, Jadeja averages in the 20s in every country he played except England and NZ. On the other hand, there is another ATG who has made a career out of bullying opposition in 3 countries and then went on to average in 3 digits in some countries lol.I think if you want to be in the top 30 bowlers of all time, you need to be an automatic selection for the side you regularly play in no matter where they're touring tbh.
