Hope they give de Bruyn the next 5 test matches, and if he doesn’t score a run, put a line through him for good.
What’s more likely to happen is he won’t be given that much rope and then there still will be folks out there saying he was mucked around, great player, never given enough chances and what not. Its tedious.

Not the easiest series to follow. Finding a stream is a challenge, usual sources coming up with no results or 144p video quality with Indic commentary and the highlights on YouTube are awful. Best result I found had the audio about 10 seconds in front of the ¼ sized image, so, when watching Elgar hit a four, I heard Markram getting bowled.

There’s no PMs on the forum, only public visitor messages. Discussing illegal streams is against the rules but teaching someone how to search for some scenic Indian rivers on google might see you get a pass.

Yeah I'm going to admit we're kind of held by the balls on this one. I don't believe in intellectual property and was contemplating going to the admin with a proposal to just allow stream posts here, but the advertisers have a vastly different philosophy and hosting a forum this size is expensive.

So.. I guess a warning to Deathscar that such posts violate the rules.

I've got not real drama with him tightening his paywall; I just think that if you get around it you haven't actually done anything wrong.

But this is definitely a long way removed from India v South Africa, so I shoosh on this now.

Nice 30 minutes but seems a little bit too frenetic to last. Saw something similar in Sri Lanka last year when Faf just went sweep happy, scored very quickly and South Africa were still rolled out for 100 odd.

They seem to like the all-rounder at 7 and unless that changes in the next 2 tests I am pretty sure they will go with Mulder at home.

Probably also want to give Theunis a test or 2 at home before deciding to give the chop if necassary. Just to make sure and no complaints.

Ideally we go with both in these last 2 tests and leave out the all-rounder.

Always backed him at test level even if not scoring domestic runs for Titans/Surrey but I must admit I was concerned going into this series.

Yeah, but that would mean Hamza wouldn't play this series unless de Bruyn or Bavuma were dropped (or six bats are picked). I'm happy for de Bruyn to get the full five here and then be dropped for Hamza at home if he fails. You seemed less fine with that. I think we both agreed on six bats, but failing that this is the top five I'd pick.

I think playing an allrounder at home to ensure four quicks is actually much more important than playing one away for SA tbh, so Mulder in at 6 at home is a no brainer for me. Four quicks in South Africa is often really important. I'd have played six bats this series and then dropped the worst performing middle order one (excluding Faf) for the home season.
