Yeah genuinely destructive down the order. He'd be awesome on slower decks with the keeper up to the stumps as well, provided he bowls accurately enough.

He's gone now, but I agree Sams looks a pretty handy package for limited overs cricket. The Bracken comparison with the ball is a good one, they generally have a fairly similar MO to their bowling

Specialist batsman Arjun Nair at no. 8

I hope he makes runs so they can justify his spot without having to see his horrendous bowling action

You can't have possibly seriously believed they were going to play him as a batsman?

As was mentioned earlier, Chris Green would have been a better option for that role, but he's over in the land of rum and ganja right now

How often does a bowling side have a team 5 for nothing but ease up and let them get to 200 and make a game of it. I haven't been watching but was this NSW really digging in or SA taking their foot off the gas. Should have been able to bowl them out for under 100 from 5/30

Probably a bit of hardness out of the ball helped. It was doing a fair bit early on, but there were some pretty ordinary shots played as well. The openers did bowl really well first up though.

Put a $25 bet on SA this morning paying $45. Just had a feeling NSW were ****ing useless. The Edwards look village to me

Anyway cashed out for $38 at 5/30 because I predicted a rebuild and an absolute certain result becoming a bit less certain. Happy enough with my decision

Sabba with a contribution which gives nsw very little to bowl to instead of FA.

That time maybe, but the first time you said it certainly not
If you say so. Pretty ridiculous to suggest he would play as a specialist batsman at any stage but if it went over your head that's fine. It's hard to convey tone via text.

I think it's ridiculous to pick Nair at all even if he didn't chuck ftr

It was obvious to me you were joking. Very obvious in fact.
