Bartlett is highly regarded and has been given contract extension

Not express but potentially very good all rounder

Yeah I get resting everyone else (though Warner was terrible enough he should be playing anyway!), but Starc has barely played since July. Surely he's not exhausted.

You could argue that being a fast bowler they are worried about injuries, but that argument doesn't hold any real weight when the even more injury prone Patto is playing.

I don't really think specialist batsman ever actually need a rest imo

Generally at Karen Rolton Oval when you get yourself in there are plenty of runs to be had. This has looked a little livelier than usual, but it is still batting friendly and the outfield is lightning

Frustrating how good Khawaja is at the short form in domestics but seems to underperform at ODI level. Might be down to him opening domestically but batting #3 internationally I guess, but still....

FWIW I probably would have opened with Head too. Thought Ferg at the top was a strange idea when I first heard it, hasn't done much to make me question that
