My theory is he stopped working on his batting and focused on being a top-class bowler
He's spoken openly as well as how the Aaron incident and being bounced ****ed up his confidence. You can't bat properly at this level if you are legitimately scared of the ball, as he was for a while

Not out by umpire, so has to be clear out to be overturned, surely you check the noise from in front and behind, and check for a sync in the noise.
Sides will train fielders to click there fingers or take clickers onto the field to get close calls.

I think if anything this shows there's an issue with the decision overturning protocol. He just overturned it immediately when there was a spike without really looking into it

Why did they ever get rid of Hotspot, that warner dismissal is questionable for me.

Surely using it alongside UltraEdge would make more sense?

There appeared to be a gap between bat and ball when the spike appeared, but it was the type of tall thin spike that indicates bat on ball, and the ball was absolutely nowhere near anything but the bat. Weird.

Feel for Warner - that sort of thing sucks at the best of times, but when your in (I assume) the worst slump of your career you don't need things like to go against you

The way Broad played Johnson in 2013/14 shows Broad's batting was tailing off before Varun Aaron brained him. Spending 5-6 minutes whining about some bolts only to walk across your stumps and get bowled, one of the most pathetic displays I have ever seen on a cricket field

Oh yeah and no doubt that was the icing on the cake but OS is right, he was already regressing, whereas he was almost viewed as a bowling all-rounder at one stage.
